A break area nobody has to shop for
Breakroom restocking is a separate service at Santa Clara Janitorial Co. Our team purchases the coffee, beverages, snacks and paper goods your people use, brings them in on a fixed schedule and puts everything where people expect to find it. Every visit ends with a tidy kitchen.
Run it on its own or alongside your cleaning schedule. Either way, nobody on staff carries the shopping list in their head or makes a store run before a meeting.
Campuses with several break areas
A large technology campus may run several break areas per floor, and each needs its own stock plan. We map them the way we map cleaning zones, so a third-floor kitchenette by the labs gets its own list and counts instead of borrowing from the main kitchen downstairs.
In a smaller office suite or a low-rise business park building, one kitchenette often serves an entire tenant. There, a short and well-kept list matters a lot more than variety.
Setting up the order list
Setup begins with a look at each kitchen and a short planning call. We record what should always be in stock, the quantity held for each, and the flavors and styles people ask for. Dietary requirements go on at the same time, including gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegan, kosher or halal items, so every restock includes them.
Your monthly spend caps the orders. When a request would push past it, we check with your office contact before buying, and that contact can gather staff suggestions and sign off on list changes.
What goes on the shelves
- Coffee station: ground or whole-bean coffee, sugar, creamers and a tea selection.
- Beverages: still and sparkling water, juices, sodas and canned cold brew.
- Snacks: savory, sweet and lighter options, from trail mix and bars to single-serve crackers.
- Paper goods: cups, plates, cutlery and napkins.
Restock timing
Frequency follows consumption. A small team might need one visit a week; a campus kitchen serving a large floor needs more. Every visit runs the same sequence: rotate stock by date, refill the coffee station, load the beverage fridge, restock shelves and cupboards, and carry out the packaging.
Hybrid attendance changes the numbers. A floor that is full Tuesday through Thursday and quiet on Monday and Friday gets its restocks scheduled for the busy days rather than the quiet ones.
Buildings with swing or night shifts in labs or production support areas can split the schedule, so the break area those crews use gets a visit planned around their hours rather than the office kitchen’s.
Reset on every visit
Each restock includes a light reset of the room: counters, tables and the coffee area wiped, the sink cleared, fridge shelves organized and expired items removed. Deeper work, such as appliance interiors and floor care, belongs to our office cleaning.
Alongside cleaning visits
For facilities on office cleaning, the restock can ride along with the evening cleaning shift or be booked as its own daytime visit, whichever suits the floor and its people better.
Restroom paper, soap and dispensers are a separate service. Our janitorial supplies program covers them, and both can share one schedule.
Who it suits
Any facility with a shared kitchen: corporate offices and R&D buildings, coworking spaces with a common lounge, medical and dental clinics with a staff break room, and retail stores with a back-of-house break area. The more break areas a building has, the more a single restock plan helps, since keeping each one consistent by hand is hard.
Tenants planning a product launch, an all-hands or a visit from customers can flag the date ahead of time. That restock carries extra beverages and snacks, then the order returns to its usual size the following visit.
Cost factors
Pantry costs are mainly the products, capped by your monthly spend. Service pricing reflects headcount, the number of break areas, restock frequency, product grade and the amount of tidying each visit includes.
A few useful answers
Common questions.
Is pantry restocking available without your cleaning service?
Yes. It runs as a standalone service, so facilities with in-house custodial staff can still hand us the break-area shopping.
Can each floor's kitchenette have its own list?
Yes. Every break area gets its own items and counts, and all of them are restocked on one schedule.
Who signs off on what gets ordered?
Your office contact, who sets the monthly spend, gathers staff suggestions and confirms any change to the order list.
Can kosher, halal or nut-free items be part of the order?
Yes. Dietary requirements are recorded during setup and included on every restock.
